Personalised gifts are having a moment — and printed chocolate is one of the most unique, delicious ways to celebrate someone special. At Choc & Moi, we’ve perfected the art of transforming your message, logo, or design into a beautifully printed chocolate bar made with premium Belgian chocolate.
If you’ve ever wondered how the process works, here’s a look behind the scenes at how we bring your ideas to life.
What Makes Printed Chocolate So Special
Printed chocolate is more than a novelty. It’s a blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and food‑safe technology. Each bar is handmade in our Dee Why kitchen using Belgian white or caramel chocolate, which gives the best printing results thanks to their smooth, light-coloured surface.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, welcoming a new baby, surprising a friend, or creating branded gifts for a corporate event, printed chocolate adds a personal touch that people remember.
Step 1: You Send Us Your Design
The process begins with your artwork. You can send us your file in PDF or JPEG format, whether it’s:
A name or message
A company logo
A themed design for an event
A photo or illustration
If you’re unsure what will print best, we’re always happy to guide you.
Step 2: Preparing the Chocolate Base
Every bar is handmade using premium Belgian chocolate. We work with white or caramel chocolate because:
They provide the cleanest, most vibrant print
The surface is naturally smooth
Colours appear crisp and clear
Each bar is tempered, poured, and set with care to ensure a flawless finish.
Step 3: Printing With Edible Ink
Your design is printed using food‑safe edible ink onto a specialised transfer sheet. This sheet acts like a stencil: the edible ink sits on the surface, ready to bond with the chocolate.
This step requires precision — the colours, alignment, and clarity must be perfect before we move on.

Step 4: Transferring the Design Onto the Chocolate
Once the chocolate is ready, the printed transfer sheet is placed carefully onto the bar. As the chocolate sets, the edible ink fuses seamlessly with the surface, creating a smooth, vibrant print.
The result is a personalised chocolate bar that looks as good as it tastes.
Step 5: Finishing & Packaging
After the print has fully transferred, the sheet is removed and the bar is inspected for quality. Each piece is then wrapped and packaged with care, ready for gifting, events, or corporate branding.
